One great year makes an agent a headline. Three straight years makes him the market. Per MLS Property Information Network (MLS PIN) Market Share reports, I've been the #1 agent in Lowell for transactions in 2023, 2024, and 2025 — three consecutive years — and #1 in sales volume for the last two. Here's the streak, year by year, with the margins the other agents don't put on their flyers.
2023: The Streak Begins — #1 in Transactions
In 2023, I closed 46 transaction sides in Lowell — #1 in the city, edging the runner-up's 44 sides by 4.5%. Statewide that year, I closed 68 sides and $18,237,047 in volume across Massachusetts. It was a strong year. It also turned out to be the floor.
2024: #1 in Transactions AND #1 in Volume
2024 removed all doubt:
- Transactions: 75 sides in Lowell — #1, and 56.3% more than the #2 agent's 48 sides.
- Volume: $17,537,555 — #1, and 27.3% ahead of the #2 agent's $13,776,400.
- Market share: 2.21% of every dollar of real estate sold in the city.
- Statewide: 102 transaction sides, $24,681,104.
A 63% jump in Lowell sides in one year (46 to 75) isn't market lift — the whole city's market didn't grow like that. It's share taken, deal by deal. The year in detail: 2024 By the Numbers.
2025: The Three-Peat
- Transactions: 71 sides in Lowell — #1 for the third straight year. The runner-up had 23. That's 209% more transactions — better than triple the #2 agent.
- Volume: $16,854,695 — #1 for the second straight year, 21.7% ahead of #2's $13,849,332.
- Market share: 2.01% of Lowell's $836,570,424 total market volume.
- Statewide: 107 transaction sides and $30,196,995 — 42.7% more sides than the state's top individual agent by volume closed all year.

Why the Streak Matters More Than Any Single Year
Consistency is the hardest thing to fake in this business, because the MLS re-publishes the truth every January. Markets shift — rates spiked, inventory vanished, buyers vanished and came back — and through all three environments, the same name stayed on top of both boards in Lowell. For a seller, that means your agent isn't riding a hot spring; he's a system that performs in the market you're actually selling into. For a buyer, it means the agent across the table has closed in every condition your deal might meet.
It also compounds. Each year at #1 brings more listings, more buyers, more off-market calls, and more data — which produces the next year at #1. Three years in, that flywheel is the business.
What Comes Next
The streak doesn't retire. It's the standard my team at Doherty Properties works against every morning: defend the Lowell boards, grow the statewide sides count, and keep every client's deal handled like it's the one the ranking depends on — because it is.

The margins also widened as the streak went on, which is the detail competitors least like to discuss. In 2023, my transactions lead over #2 was 4.5% — a nose. In 2024 it was 56.3%. In 2025, on transactions, the gap became 209% — my 71 sides against the runner-up's 23 — while the volume margin held at 21.7% over the #2 agent. Streaks built on widening margins aren't coasting; they're separation, increasing year after year.
