Thursday Tip: When Choosing A House

Thursday Tip

Today's tip is about which features you should look for when choosing a house.

Thursday Tip: When Choosing A House

Access

The first thing you should consider is access. Make sure you can get to the house easily. For example, if it's in a residential area, make sure you can park your car on the street without having to worry about getting blocked in by other cars. If it's in an area with public transportation and bus stops nearby, that's great too!

Facilities

Is there a pool or gym on the property? Are there nearby parks? Is there a place for kids to play safely? Is the house close enough to town that you can walk or ride your bike into town in five minutes or less?

Legality

Is the house legal? Is it properly zoned for residential use and not commercial use? Does it have proper permits for construction, etc.? Has it been inspected by local authorities and certified as safe?

Convenience

Convenience means that it should be easy for you to move into and out of your new home without having problems along the way. For example, if there aren't enough parking spaces at your new address, then it might make it difficult for both guests and family members visiting on holidays when everyone wants their own space!
